Bill Zygmant’s passion for photography started at a young age seeing press photographers on newsreels photographing film stars. In 1966 Zygmant started working as a freelance photographer capturing music and show business stars such as the BeeGees, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles featured in Musical Express, Billboard, Picture Post as well as British national newspapers and magazines. His most well known images are those of John Lennon and Yoko Ono months before the announcement of their relationship. In recognition of Zygmant’s many iconic Beatles images The Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool named a suite in his honour ‘The Zygmant Suite’. More recent work has seen Zygmant as a picture editor and lecturer on film and television production. Proud Chelsea featured Bill’s work in 2011 in Sex, Drugstores & Rock & Roll.
