Stian Andersen is Norway’s foremost music photographer and has, for the last 17 years, travelled around the world on various assignments for Norwegian and international clients in the fashion, music, commercial and documentary photography industry. Andersen has produced more than 50 album covers for Norway’s biggest acts (including Royksopp, Turbonegro and Susanne Sundfør) and photographed artists such as Prince, Johnny Cash, Blur, Oasis, Daft Punk, Prodigy and Leonard Cohen, to name but a few. Andersen has published several collections of his photographs, including the prize winning book "Turboneger Fotografier", Aschehoug Forlag (2010), “City Fragments” (2010) and "A-ha Photographs 1994-2010", Press Forlag (2012). Andersen´s critically acclaimed exhibition "The Silent Side of Rock ´n Roll" has toured galleries all over Norway for the last six years and is currently exhibited at The Rocheim Museum in Trondheim. Andersen has worked as A-ha´s official photographer for ten years: he has shot many of the band’s various album covers and promotional photos as well as documenting their last three tours. His photographs of A-ha have been featured in a 2013 exhibition at the Strand Gallery.
