Laurie Asprey forged a career in photography after working as a fashion photography assistant in Chelsea, later branching out into photojournalism. Born in Salford, Lancashire; he was a member of the Salford Lads Club. Asprey delved into music photography shooting for Melody Maker, Sounds, Mojo, Uncut and The Sunday Times. His collections boast some of the world’s greatest musicians including Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, David Bowie and John Lennon, among others. His photojournalistic approach captured society's stylistic core. A collection of his documentary shots were presented by Proud Chelsea in the group exhibition The Kings Road in 2011.
