When Barry Schneier was living in Boston in 1974 a friend brought home Bruce’s second album, “The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle”. Schneier then went to see Bruce Springsteen live in Cambridge, MA, an experience that changed his view on music. He took a series of photographs of Springsteen at this gig, capturing the raw intensity of his early live performances. Schneier also photographed many other notable acts in the 1970s, including Patti Smith, Van Morrison and Bonny Raitt, applying his atmospheric style to each of these legendary figures.
